Northern Irish director Stacey Gregg’s sophisticated thriller won Best International Film at the Galway Film Fleadh, Ireland’s most prestigious festival.
Stacey Gregg is from Belfast and is a writer, director and performer for stage and screen. Her screenwriting credits include THE INNOCENTS for Netflix, RIVIERA for Sky and YOUR MA’S A HARD BREXITMERCY, a short film for Headlong. Stacey was the recipient of a NI Screen Access short award for , which she recently wrote and directed. Her feature film BALLYWALTER is in development with Riverstone and Empire Street productions and she has television projects in development with the BBC and Kudos.
Stacey’s recent theatre work includes SCORCH, which she is adapting for the BBC, and CHOICES, in which she performs and collaborates. Further theatre co-directing / collaborations include INSIDE BITCH for Clean Break – working with women in the criminal justice system – and LIGHTS OUT for the Royal Court. Writing awards include an Edinburgh Fringe First, Irish Times Theatre Award for Best New play, Writers Guild of Ireland ZeBBie for Best New Script. She has had work produced in Canada, America, Australia, Sweden, the UK and Ireland.
